A ground-breaking event bringing together business decision-makers and product innovators from across the Isle of Wight and beyond.
Smart Island Live will take place on Thursday 11th April 2019 at the new CECAMM building in Whippingham, East Cowes. You can find out how to get there by clicking here.
The event is aimed at businesses and innovators. If you’ve ever been to a trade show or expo style event, you’ll have a general idea of the format for the day.
At it’s core though, Smart Island Live 2019 is aiming a lot higher than a simple industry event.
Out vision is to enable businesses to reduce their overheads and grow in a smart and sustainable way using a mixture of sustainable technology, smart planning and a network of like minded supporters.
We want to create a better Island to live and work on, and by launching Smart Island Live, we’re creating a platform where businesses can get together, network, learn and come together to improve our community.
The event is being organised by Future Isle of Wight – A Community Interest Company.
We’re working with a number of key partners to help make the event a reality.
The event has Isle Of Wight Council support, and Innovate Uk (including EEN and KTN) are helping to host the event.
Other supporters and partners include Dimplex, British LED, the Isle Of Wight College and CECAMM. Many Island businesses will be demonstrating and exhibiting, and you’ll get the chance to listen to presentations from industry leaders and innovators

As you walk into the CECAMM building, you’ll witness a showcase of sustainable technology. A huge range of businesses will be demonstrating a diverse range of products and services.
You’ll see everything from electric cars and bicycles to the latest in waste management. Local produce and cookery demonstrations right through to cutting edge hydroponic growing techniques.
Guest speakers will help you understand the latest in smart and renewable technology. From the “Internet of Things” right through to photovoltaic cells. You’ll see how modern homes use sustainable and high tech building techniques and how the business landscape is changing as people become aware of their environmental impact.
But more importantly, we’re a creating platform where businesses, thought leaders and innovators can come together to network and discuss the Isle of Wight’s sustainable future.
You’ll help to create a greener, cleaner island and shape it’s future direction and infrastructure whilst simultaneously reducing your overheads and improving your profits!
